Where it began: I love shiny things

I have fond memories of my little hands rummaging through my mom's jewellery box, trying on every sparkly ring I could find. Gazing at my nanny's hands with her delicate papery skin, adorned with a diamond trilogy engagement ring, that was set against the bright red polished fingernails resting on her pinny - I fell in love with all the shiny things!

With a background in science and endless curiosity, I found my way into the culture sector and worked at The Whitworth Art gallery for around 10 years. During this time I was immersed in a rich broth of creative people and works - a time I will cherish forever which helped me to seek out interesting and creative things in art, places, culture and objects.

The journey to metalsmithing started with a love of all things vintage! Finding sparkly treasures was (and still is!) one of my passions. From large Sarah Coventry statement brooches, stunning vintage Venetian wedding glass beads, juicy Bakelite bangles and cherry amber necklaces - these all inspired me to want to start making my own little treasures.

I first designed and made laser-cut necklaces and earrings under the name Pop Arc. My fall leaf mirrored bib necklaces were a hit, but I wanted to be more involved with crafting the pieces myself and working with different types of metals. Diving head first, I began my metalsmithing journey at the start of 2024, and it's been an amazing adventure ever since!

My work is inspired by nature, patterns, textures and more recently, movement and kinetic elements. I use recycled sterling silver and brass from UK suppliers - knowing where my materials come from is important to me.

My collections are made from my own hand-drawn designs and then handcrafted in-house, in my own small studio here in the UK, making every piece unique.

I'm definitely a geek girl at heart! I love new technologies, so I also make 3D printed craft cutters for jewellery makers with my Bambu lab 3D printer using biodegradable food-safe PLA. Whether you work with polymer clay or precious metal clay, I have designed these cutters to work great together and add special elements to your own designs.

From my days at The Whitworth, I've been a little obsessed with packaging. All orders are securely wrapped and are plastic-free, ensuring beautiful items are delivered safely to your door (and are perfect for gifting).

Having a great experience shopping in my store is very important to me, so if you have any queries, questions or requests, please ask away! I'll do my best to help, and can usually respond within a few hours during the hours 8am-12midnight - 7 days a week!

My brain doesn't really switch off, so more items are being added regularly with the aim of creating more unique jewellery collections. Some may have a limited number, but I notify my lovely email subscribers first to make sure they don't miss out! You can subscribe below.

Please pop back and see what's new.
